Comment:
Authorship for Suborder Bairdicopina is given in Martin & Davis (2001) as Sars 1865. Dr. Eugen Kempf (emails Dec. 2008, Jan. 2009) indicates it should be Sars 1887, as for Family Bardiidae. However, names at the rank of suborder are not "coordinated" as are family-group names (ICZN Art. 36), and authorship is not regulated under the ICZN. Given this confusion ITIS is omitting authorship for this name, for the moment, but will reconsider as a consensus emerges
