(2008:257) lists the authorship of Cheirochelini as 'La Rivers 1971,' by the Principle of Coordination (ICZN Art. 43), this family group name takes the same authorship as the existing family-group name based on the same genus, which is the subfamily Cheirichelinae Montandon, 1897
