Crocidura sicula: Comments
Comment:
Status: IUCN - Lower Risk (lc)
Comment:
Comments: Revised by Hutterer (1991), who recognized one extinct and three extant subspecies. Formerly included in leucodon, russula, or suaveolens; but the species has a distinct karyotype (Sarà and Vitturi, 1996; Vogel, 1988) and morphology (Vogel et al., 1989). Temporal and geographic variation studied by Hutterer (1991), Sarà (1995, 1996), and Sarà and Vitturi (1996)
