Comment:
The type species for Fasciola is Fasciola hepatica Linnaeus 1758, a trematode. However, as Kenk (1974:30) noted, 'this genus contained originall two species, one of them combining a Trematode and a Turbellarian.' It later also included nemerteans. Due to the type species' identity the genus must be retained in the Trematoda, but the non-trematode species still need to be moved to a (new?) genus in the group where they belong (Turbellaria, etc.)
