Concerning North American records that apparenly are referrable to another species, Pelham (2008:428) notes of Gesta gesta (Herrich-Schäffer, 1863), "This extralimital taxon was previously considered conspecific with G. invisus (Butler & Druce, 1872), see Austin and A. Warren (2002)"
