Munilla & Soler-Membrives (2014:272) note that the gramatical gender of the genus Nymphon is masculine, not neuter. Under ICZN Article 30.1.1, Nymphon (and all the genera that end in -nymphon!) must be treated as masculine, despite its original use as if it were neuter. Many adjectival species names will need to be corrected for gender concordance per Article 31.2. ITIS is noting this, but not making some corrections in this regard, where they have not already been established in the literature, due to the complexity of some cases
