Comments: Synonymy of O. phelpsi Tate attributed by Musser and Patton (1989). A morphologically and genetically distinct member of the bicolor complex, species identity uncertain, was collected at localities nearby those of O. bicolor proper in the Rio Juruá basin, W Brazil (Patton et al., 2000)
