Ostrea conchaphila: Comments
Comment:
Although for some years the species Ostrea lurida Carpenter, 1864 (TSN 79883) was considered a junior synonym of Ostrea conchaphila (Carpenter, 1857) (TSN 568041), sometimes in the genus Ostreola Monterosato, 1884 (TSN 79894), Polson et al. (2009) argue for treating these as separate species, recognizing Ostrea lurida Carpenter, 1864 as the Olympia oyster from the west coast of temperate North America
