Comments: Phallic morphology described by Lidicker (1968). Specimens of P. mayeri and P. bruijni were collected on Mt Sisa in the Kikori River Basin of S Papua New Guinea (Leary and Seri, 1997), but altitudinal relationships between the two there have not been published
