Pelham (2008:429) notes that Quasimellana mexicana (Bell, 1942) is "Listed from our region [North America] by L. Miller and F. Brown (1981: 44) and Ferris (1989c), but no vouchers of this species are known from our area; see Bailowitz and Brock (1991) and Burns (1994b)"
