"Etymology: The new genus-group name [Saurochile Gonzalez and Engel, 2019] is a combination of the Greek words, saukros, meaning graceful, in reference to the general elegant aspect of this group, and chile, meaning lip or rim. The gender of the name is feminine (vide Etymology for Cremnomegachile, supra)." (Gonzalez and Engel, 2019)
