Sorex alaskanus: Comments
Comment:
Status: IUCN - Lower Risk (lc)
Comment:
Comments: Subgenus Otisorex; S. vagrans complex. The species was tentatively included in palustris by Junge and Hoffmann (1981) and Harris (in Wilson and Ruff, 1999), but retained as a species by Hall (1981), Jones et al. (1982), and George (1988); a view supported by the skull figures and measurements given by Jackson (1928) and Carraway (1995). Apparently the species has not been collected again since 1899
