Occasionally in the older literature, taxa were described as new to sciece....in two (or more?) publications, often in different years; the Genus Telmatodrilus and its type species, Telmatodrilus vejdovskyi, were both reported and described as new taxa in Eisen (1879) and again in Eisen (1885, p. 880); several other taxa in this ITIS compilation by MJWetzel were similarly first described by Eisen (1879), and then again reported as new taxa in Eisen (1885); a comment similar to this one has been included for those taxa
