Larsen and Wilson (2002) state that "Since assigning to incertae sedis the name bearer of a family is not logical, the Anarthruridae has been retained in a restricted form (containing only Anarthrura and Allodaposia)." See also the Tanaidacea Taxa and Literature (2005) website
