Comments: Dasymys Division. Closest phylogenetic allies unidentified. Many pelage, cranial, and dental traits of Dasymys suggest alliance with Aethomys, but Misonne (1969) considered Dasymys to be the most phylogenetically isolated of endemic African murines.
