Unresolved priority issue shown by Platnick (2019, online World Spider Catalog v20.5). Euprosthenops armatus garambensis Lessert, 1928 is treated as conspecific with Euprosthenopsis lesserti (Roewer, 1955) (as a subspecies therein), yet is the senior name. If this placement is accepted, then according to priority the species should be known as Euprosthenopsis garambensis (Lessert, 1928). However, Platnick (pers. comm. 10/2011) avoids introducing nomenclatural changes regarding subspecies in the catalog unless/until those issues are addressed in the modern literature
