Comments: Subgenus Hendecapleura. Petter (1975b) placed brockmani in synonymy with G. nanus, but no evidence indicates that G. nanus occurs anywhere remotely near Somalia (see Lay, 1983). The phylogenetic affinities of G. brockmani require clarification
