Comments: See González (2000a:4) for remarks on location and habitat of the type locality. Karyotype (2n = 36, FN = 34) reported (as Wilfredomys pictipes) by Bonvicino and Otazu (1999), who noted many banding patterns congruent with Rhipidomys species and generally weak homologies with those of Delomys
