Scutacaridae Oudemans (1916:316) was proposed to replace Disparipedidae Paoli (1911:215), due to synonymy of their type genera; this appears to be in prevailing usage. Per ICZN Art. 40.2 this maintained and Scutacaridae Oudemans, 1916 takes the priority of 1911. This has priority over Pygmephoroidea Cross, 1965
