Comments: T. s. lucida and T. s. natunae of the Natuna Isls are very distinctive forms; although traditionally included in T. splendidula they may be more closely allied to T. glis. Because of its probable affinity to Natuna treeshrews, T. riabus from Riabu (Anambas Isls) is provisionally placed here rather than with T. glis
