Shear (2018:259) transferred the genus Yobius Chamberlin, 1945 from tribe Zygethobiini in Henicopinae, to Anopsobiinae (which was there treated as a full family), due to its similarity to Buethobius, which he also transferred. In fact, he suggests that Yobius haywardi is likely a species of Buethobius, although he does not make the formal change, as additional research would be needed
