According to Frost (2000), while originally published as "wrighti," there was a "mandatory emendation under Latin grammar due to Bishop explicitly naming the taxon for two Wrights." According to Frost (2019), the change was an "unjustified emendation according to Dubois, 2007, Zootaxa, 1550: 67"
