Comments: Bunomys fratrorum Group. Despite Thomas' clear declaration that fratrorum was distinct from chrysocomus, an evaluation also supported by Tate (1936) and Sody (1941), fratrorum was listed as a synonym of B. chrysocomus by Ellerman (1949a) and Laurie and Hill (1954). The two are sympatric on the NE peninsula (Musser, 1970d, 1981c, 1991; Musser and Newcomb, 1983; Musser, ms).
