Jussieu did not make the new combination Chrozophora tinctoria. He merely assigned "Croton tinctorium" to his genus Chrozophora, but did not combine the epithet tinctoria with Chrozophora to make C. tinctoria (K. Gandhi, pers. comm., 05-2014)
