According to Young (2003) the combination '<I>Sinorhizobium adhaerens</I>' (Casida 1982) Willems et al. 2003 is illegitimate. <I>Ensifer adhaerens</I> is the legitimate heterotypic earlier synonym (the Code; Rule 23).
