Unresolved primary homonymy is shown by Platnick (2012, online World Spider Catalog v12.5), where both Tmarus spinosus Comellini, 1955 and Tmarus spinosus Zhu et al., 2005 are listed as valid species. The latter is a junior primary homonym and includes the comment 'primary junior homonym of [Tmarus spinosus Comellini, 1955]'
