Comments: Includes namiyei and orientalis; see Yoshiyuki (1989) and Horácek (1997). The name superans was commonly applied to this taxon until Horácek (1997) demonstrated that sinensis (erroneously grouped in Nyctalus in previous classifications) is the oldest name for the species
