Ludwigia sedoides: Country Or Region Of Origin
South Mexico to Tropical America
Phonetic Spelling:lud-WIG-ee-uh see-DOY-deez
Genus:Ludwigia
Species:sedoides
Family:Onagraceae
The mosaic plant belongs to the primrose family and features striking, diamond-shaped leaves that create a complex rose-like design, along with cup-shaped yellow blooms. To thrive, it demands ample sunlight and substantial macro and micro fertilization for optimal growth. Unfortunately, this plant is not winter-hardy in North Carolina and must be moved indoors. While overwintering it indoors can be challenging, it is feasible to do so in a large aquarium, provided its specific requirements are met.
