Phonetic Spelling:RO-zuh

Genus:Rosa

Species:

Family:Rosaceae

Henry Hudson is a versatile hybrid rugosa rose known for its compact growth and lush dark green leaves. The buds, initially pink, unfurl into semi-double white flowers, which take on a pink hue in cooler temperatures. This rose is a repeat bloomer, producing a generous amount of vibrant red hips. For optimal growth, it should be planted in moist, well-drained soil under full sunlight. Once established, it demonstrates good drought resistance. To maintain an open structure and encourage the growth of new canes, prune using the renewal method by cutting back one-third of the oldest canes to the ground as necessary.

This variety exhibits exceptional resistance to blackspot, mildew, and rust. However, be vigilant for pests such as Japanese beetles, aphids, cane borers, and rose midges.

For further details on Rosa, please refer to additional resources.
