Comment:
According to L. Galloway (Flora of North America North of Mexico, 2003), 'S.S. Tillett (1967) considered plants of Abronia umbellata var. minor (Standley) Munz to be introgressants between A. latifolia and A. umbellata.' A formal resolution for this taxonomic situation has apparently not yet been published
