Comment:
Aesculus flava Aiton (TSN 28717), published in 1789, is an isonym of Aesculus flava Sol., published in 1778. It may also be considered a later homonym, as Aiton's publication used Solander's description without reference; however, both names refer to the same taxon (K. Gandhi, personal communication, 1 November 2011)
