Sometimes treated as a full family, sometimes as subfamily of Henicopidae. ChiloBase 2.0 places Anopsobius in Henicopidae without mentioning subfamilies. Pending a new overview of the group, ITIS will follow Hollington & Edgecombe's 2004 syntopic classification, and that of Bonato et al. (2011), which both retain the subfamily status
