Comment:
Pereira (2015:24) notes of Arcophilus gracillimus (Verhoeff, 1938) that its 'identity is uncertain and its familial assignment is dubious.' The cited sources do not explain this issue. Minelli (ed. 2011:427) indicates that the genus contains just one species, A. toltecus, which further suggests doubt as to the status of A. gracillimus. ChiloBase (2.0, 2016) cites only the original description, and lists it as a valid species. Status and position uncertain
