Katovich (2002) considers that Augyles Schiodte is a European genus and that North American species previously in this genus belong in Explorator Pacheco, 1964, Centuriatus Pacheco, 1964 and Microaugyles Pacheco, 1964. However, it appears that the proper generic assignment for Augyles blanda Miller, 1994 is still undecided
