Badister vandykei: Comments
Comment:
Badister vandykei Ball 1959 was described from 'N. Comondu, L. Cal.,' which corresponds to an area in the middle of the Baja California Peninsula, hundreds of miles south of the United States. It appears that the listing in Bousquet & Larochelle (1993:212) is in error, as the name is not even mentioned in Bousquet 2012. It is apparently endemic to Mexico, as part of the elegans group of Badister subgenus Badister
