Mannerheim (1852:332) spelled the epithet 'frankenhaeuseri' and repeatedly referred to a D. Frankenhaeuser, not 'Frankenhauser,' so the original spelling (which has been used in recent decades) should stand as the correct spelling, contra Peck & Cook (2002:731-732)
