Pieter Cramer's Uitlandische Kapellen consists of 34 issues in 4 volumes. Cramer died before completing it and Caspar Stoll assumed responsibility for finishing the project, as well as publishing a supplement. This has resulted in some confusion over author attribution in the published literature; most of these issues were addressed by I.C.Z.N. Opinion 516 (1958) (Pelham 2008)

Of Chiomara asychis (Cramer, 1780), Pelham (2008:428) notes, "This South American taxon was previously considered conspecific with C. georgina (Reakirt, 1868)"
