Comment:
The type species of subgenus Cryptops (Trichocryptops) Verhoeff, 1937 is Cryptops malaccanus Verhoeff, 1937. That species was synonymized under C. doriae Pocock, 1891 by Lewis (2016:577), which renders C. (Trichocryptops) a junior synonym of Cryptops (Cryptops), since that's where C. doriae is placed. The other two species previously placed in C. (Trichocryptops) are accordingly also placed in the typical subgenus
