Comment:
Silva, Basson and Moe (1996) provide detail on this rather involved case. Briefly, the type of Chaetangium is conspecific with the type of Suhria, which was formally conserved over Chaetangium. This genus is now in the Gelidaceae, and so Chaetangiaceae is a taxonomic synonym thereof. A new family name (Galaxauraceae) was established for the remainder of the former Chaetangiaceae
