Comment:
Although a 2007 case was made proposing that Hybosorus illigeri Reiche 1853 be given priority over H. roei Westwood 1845, in 2009 the Commission did not approve the proposal, and ruled that priority is to be maintained for these names. Unless or until these are judged not to be conspecific, H. roei must be used over the traditional H. illigeri
