Hydroporus longiusculus: Comments
Comment:
Hydroporus longiusculus Gemminger and Harold, 1868 was proposed as a replacement name for Hydroporus oblongus Aubé, 1838 (junior primary homonym of Hydroporus oblongus Stephens, 1835). Shaverdo (2006) added Hydroporu hirtellus LeConte, 1852 to synonymy of this species, but did not address the fact that the LeConte name has priority over that of Gemminger and Harold, and technically should be used for the species
