Comments: Reviewed by Groves (2001c). Properly Indridae (see Jenkins,1987:43), but Indriidae was conserved as the correct spelling by Opinion 1995 of the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature (2002a). The Indriid clade includes two recently-extinct families or subfamilies, Archaeolemuridae and Palaeopropithecidae (McKenna and Bell, 1997)
