US ESA: No longer a candidate species because believed to be extinct according to notice of review, as published in Federal Register Volume 50, Number 188, Pages 39526 - 39584, September 27, 1985
Comment:
Brooks and Clemants (2000) note that "Juncus pervetus was thought to be Juncus subnodulosus, a European native (H. Weimarck 1946). It has been shown that this is a distinct species, however (S. Snogerup and B. Snogerup 1996). It would appear that this species is now extinct"
