Comments: Subspecies allocated according to Cabrera (1958). Revised by Pocock (1940c) and reviewed by Ximenez (1975). Placed in Oncifelis by J. A. Allen (1919a), Weigel (1961), Hemmer (1978), Král and Zima (1980), and Kratochvíl (1982c). Ximeñez (1975) followed Cabrera (1957), and placed geoffroyi in Felis (Leopardus). Includes F. pardoides (Cabrera, 1957)
