Marcusia Artois & Schockaert, 1998 is a junior homonym of Marcusia Hyman, 1953. Its type species is recognized but has no available genus name, but belongs under Polycystidinae. A replacement name must be published for the genus, and the type species, Polycystis yagana Marcus 1954 would then be placed in the new genus
