According to Stys and Jansson (1988) gender of Montonepa incorrectly implied as masculine by Lansbury (1973). Under the current ICZN (1999), this clearly falls under Art. 30.1.1 and must be considered feminine (Nepa is a feminine Latin noun for scorpion)
