Comments: Youngman (1982) placed sibirica in the subgenus Lutreola, Abramov (1999) placed it in the subgenus Kolonokus. Ognev (1935) considered altaica and sibirica closely related. Ellerman and Morrison-Scott (1951) implied, and Heptner et al.
