Comments: See Corbet (1978c) and Horácek et al. (2000) for discussion of synonyms. Zhang Yongzu et al. (1997) included ancilla and chinensis in myotis, but this is apparently incorrect; see Horácek et al. (2000). Closely related to blythii, oxygnathus, and punicus; see Castella et al.
