Unresolved primary homonymy is shown by Platnick (2019, online World Spider Catalog v20.0), where both Myrmarachne attenuata (Karsch, 1880) and Myrmarachne attenuata (O. P.-Cambridge, 1901) are listed as valid species, both of which were originally described with the name Slaticus attenuatus. The latter is a junior primary homonym and includes the comment 'preoccupied by Karsch, 1880, will need replacement name if identifiable'
