The genus name Nagustoides is feminine, as Miller (1954:51-54) combined it with the adjectival species-group name in feminine form, as Nagustoides luzonica sp. n. & Nagustoides proxima sp. n. (ICZN, 1999:36; Art. 30.1.4.4). Kerzhner (1992:52) indicated this should be corrected to masculine (and used 'Nagustoides luzonica' & 'Nagustoides proxima'), following the Code in force at the time (ICZN, 1985:30; Art. 30b), but prior editions of the Code have no force (ICZN 1999:97; Art. 86.3), so this is irrelevant
